The Formula with special guest Charles Michael Davis

The Formula is a series of events created by Nathan Chandra that feature talks and performances by people that have followed their passion to success while having a positive impact on the world.  The show focuses on meaningful discussions around success, inspiration, and motivation.  Ingredients include: business, art, music, and more.

The Formula Episode 2 recently took place at The Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills. It featured Charles Michael Davis (CW’s “The Originals”), Mari Koda (“Step Up” movie franchise), Dave Yaden (Grammy award-winning songwriter/pianist), Sean Hill (international spoken word poet), and DJ Samsonite.

There was a wealth of knowledge shared at the event that focused on ways to achieve your goals.  The following are some takeaways from the spectacular and inspiring night.   You can view a highlight reel from the event below.

Charles Michael Davis (CW’s “The Originals”):

“If I can’t see it I know in my mind and in my heart that it won’t happen.  So (when achieving my goals) I need to get to little places (take small steps)…, I continue to climb the mountain a little bit higher and then when I see the peak I know I can achieve it.”

When going after your goals, Charles explains, “Walk the straight and narrow path when a storm comes... don’t doubt yourself [and] focus on where you are meant to be and let the storm pass, keep going.”

Dave Yaden (Grammy award winning songwriter / pianist)

When it comes to your talent…“nobody does you like you, in fact nobody can do you like you, so the sooner you start doing you…..(the better off you are)."

Sean Hill (international spoken work artist)

Recently, Sean went to Africa to help build the foundation of a school.  This experience changed his perspective.  When his perspective changed, Sean explained that, “it felt so simple, it felt so easy to now put one foot in front of the other towards every dream I have right now.”
